What You Don’t Know Will hurt You…What Is Being Hidden in Our Food?

A toxic and wicked food preservative in many of the popular foods causes DNA damage and cancer. This is also a substance that is used in paint strippers, rubber cement, and permanent spot remover. And yet, it is used a preservative in the foods eaten by the American public? What’s wrong with this picture? The culprit is sodium benzoate, which you may have noticed while glancing at a food label.
Many folks sadly dismiss this as one of those chemical preservatives that are needed to process packaged food. We need to know that there is an ugly truth that the food industry is hiding about this preservative.

Most people never learn that sodium benzoate is a leading cause of cancer. The danger of this chemical to humans is that it deprives the cells of oxygen, which compromises the body’s immune system, and can develop into blood cancer. It’s the cheapest mold inhibitor available, but it literally leeches the essential nutrients in the body…causing and exacerbating neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. In fact, the rubber production industry has banned the use of this chemical due to high incidents of developing leukemia among its workers.

In food items, sodium benzoate reacts with vitamin C and E, thus forming benzene. At this point, this is when leukemia is triggered due to the cellular mitochondria that has been deprived of oxygen, thus the programmed cell death results. The cells are unable to battle infection and disease, especially cancer, which is the uncontrolled division and mutation of cells. This chemical destroys at the DNA level. While sodium benzoate does extend shelf life of foods and beverages, those who regularly consume these foods will have shortened their own lives.

Some of the foods that contain sodium benzoate include salad dressings, soy sauce, vinegar, jams, and jellies, fruit juices, salsas, dips, sodas, shredded cheese, and baked goods. It is also used in toothpaste, cough syrup, mouthwash and many cosmetic products. It is now being added to the drinking water.

I had my own horrible experience with sodium benzoate that I will share. I ate a piece of cherry pie from a health food store for dinner. All ingredients seemed fine. Six hours later exactly, I woke up with my head spinning well as the room as spinning. I made it to the bathroom and spent the next few hours with severe
vomiting and diarrhea. It was a devastating night, and re-read the label the next morning: sodium benzoate was glaring at me. Never again will I consume anything with that. ALL baked goods bought it the store contain this chemical, I read all the labels. I only make and eat my own baked goods from now on, as to preserve me! I even added this information to my medical records, as many drugs do contain this as well as other preservatives.

Why do people wait for a toxic overflow before doing anything to change? Why wait till the body comes to the point of no return and then trying to decide that there needs to be changes, but by then it may be too late. We are all responsible for our own health.
